Microdosing Education in Seattle for Midlife Women | SetSet Microdose Workshop
A 90-minute psilocybin microdosing workshop for women in midlife — taught monthly in Seattle. All levels welcome.
Limited to 10 women per workshop.
If you’re here, something in your life may be shifting — or asking to. I know that feeling intimately. Hi, I’m April, and like so many women in their 40s, my life changed, my body changed, and my heart longed for change. After years of being stuck in life and in grief, I turned to microdosing--again. And this time it "worked" because I did, too.
This microdosing education Seattle workshop was born from my experience microdosing, which became the small, steady spark that helped me hear myself again — not the old version, but the woman I was becoming. meant to become.
What transpired? My fear softened. My creativity came roaring back as my anxiety eased. I also witnessed how I ignored my intuition when it nudged me toward change that would bring discomfort.
This isn’t a workshop about having it all figured out. It’s a workshop about feeling less alone while you begin. This is the workshop I needed when my journey began.

What Makes This Microdosing Education in Seattle Unique
This isn’t a psychedelic pep rally or a clinical lecture. It’s human-first, midlife-aware microdosing education in Seattle — created specifically for women who want clarity, honesty, and groundedness.
Women often describe the experience of microdosing as:
- ⚪️ A lantern when everything feels foggy
- ⚪️ A softening where there has been tightening
- ⚪️ A return of imagination after years of drought
- ⚪️ A reconnection to intuition that went quiet under stress, caregiving, or medication
- ⚪️ A sense of coming home to themselves
The workshop weaves together the science of microdosing, the neurobiology of midlife, and the tender, emotional process of becoming more you. You’ll learn the research — but you’ll also hear the parts no study can capture: the lived reality of microdosing for midlife women.

3-Part Microdose Workshop
1. Intention
We begin with the heart: your why. Not performative goals or resolutions, but a felt sense of what you want more of.
Microdosing tends to work best when it’s paired with emotional honesty, even if that honesty is tender. Many women arrive carrying:
⚪️ Grief
⚪️ Fear of change
⚪️ Creative block
⚪️ Midlife hormonal shifts
⚪️ Burnout
⚪️ A deep desire to feel like themselves again
You’ll hear stories and examples to help clarify your own intention. In my first week, my intention was simple: “To move into the unknown with ease and courage.” That sentence has lived on a neon pink sticky note on my mirror ever since — a daily reminder of the energy I want to embody.
2. Instruction
This is where we move into grounded education and science. In this microdosing education Seattle session, we’ll cover:
⚪️ How to select a reliable source
⚪️ How to choose your dose
⚪️ Microdosing schedules (Fadiman, Stamets, SetSet Hybrid, intuitive dosing)
⚪️ How hormones, stress, and midlife neurobiology interact with microdosing
⚪️ Why a “microdosing buddy” changes everything
⚪️ How to track subtle shifts and recognize real integration
We’ll talk about serotonin dips, cortisol spikes, intuition, and interoception — the midlife physiology patterns that make microdosing for midlife women uniquely supportive.
3. Integration
Integration is not something you do “after.” With microdosing, it happens in real time — while you’re parenting, working, grieving, cooking, commuting, dating, or navigating menopause. We’ll explore:
⚪️ How to catch small “aha” moments before they slip away
⚪️ What emotional resilience looks like in motion
⚪️ How to soften fear-based patterns without forcing yourself
⚪️ How awe, pleasure, and play help rewire the brain
How to turn tiny shifts into lasting ones
Integration is not perfection. It’s repetition. It’s muscle.
My Own Microdosing Journey
Women often ask what microdosing “feels” like, so I opened up on Substack.
Six weeks of Microdosing for Midlife - on Substack
Week 1: Setting my intention, not a goal
Unlike goals, which focus on the external and often feel pressure-driven, intentions speak to how we want to feel.
My intention: “To move into the unknown with ease and courage.”
Week 2: My brain resists change, says science
Our brains are wired in early life to optimize for survival—what helps us stay connected and safe in our family or culture. Automatic wiring. Compulsive thoughts, overreactions, self-sabotage are old patterns on repeat.
Week 3: Tuning into my body sensations
Our hormones regulate how we feel in our bodies, how we connect to others, and how we interpret our internal landscape. Psilocybin interacts with this hormonal feedback loop to amplify our existing feelings.
Week 4: Menopause is more than hot flashes
Women who could read subtle social cues were more likely to survive and raise their offspring. This ability evolved as a survival mechanism, which is why intuition often feels so primal and instinctual.
Week 5: Taking my mask off, getting real for real
Substances take us away from a reality that makes us wanna mask up. When we’re in this liminal state induced by the desire to reject, we connect more intimately with how we wanna feel. who we wanna be. who we are.
Week 6: I can do hard things, like life
Scientific studies show that psilocybin can facilitate new neural rewiring, even deeply rooted emotional patterns. Working with difficult emotions, microdosing may help quiet fear circuits & foster new response patterns.

Microdosing FAQ
Psilocybin remains a Schedule I substance under federal law. This workshop offers education and harm-reduction guidance. Attendees are responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal laws.
The effects of microdosing psychedelics are usually subtle and may last for several hours, depending on the substance and dose. Patients may notice mild improvements in mood, focus, and creativity without experiencing the intense hallucinations associated with higher doses.
Microdosing is not recommended for individuals with bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia-spectrum symptoms, or those on SSRIs, SNRIs, antipsychotics, or MAOIs. Always speak with a licensed provider first.
Safety guidelines for microdosing typically include starting with very low doses, maintaining a consistent schedule (e.g., dosing every few days), and monitoring for adverse effects.
It is advised to avoid combining microdoses with other psychoactive substances and to seek medical advice if experiencing negative symptoms.
You should never combine psilocybin with SSRIs or MAOIs without professional guidance. Always consult your prescriber.
Given psilocybin's legal status, obtaining it safely is challenging. Providers should advise patients to seek information from reputable sources and caution them against purchasing products from unverified or illegal markets. Emphasizing harm reduction practices and legal considerations is crucial.
In accordance with Seattle Decriminalization Resolution, SetSet includes Magic Gifts💫 for ticketed in-person 21+ events at specified tiers.
Effective dosages for microdosing vary by substance but generally fall between 1/10th and 1/20th of a typical recreational dose. For example, an effective microdose of psilocybin might be around 0.1 to 0.3 grams of dried mushrooms.
If you experience visuals, nausea, or anxiety, it’s likely too much. Reduce your dose and track your experience.
Goals are future-oriented tasks. Intentions are present-moment energies guiding how you show up daily.
Some feel subtle shifts within a day or two. For others, it builds over weeks. Integration days - or days off from dosing - are often where emotional clarity arises.
